Those inspired women and others who call us out of our slumbers or our selfishness need a framework to operate in and around and a shared set of values to call us back too. Hence the tension between priests and prophets. They need each other and poor crucified humanity needs them both.Catholic Scothttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01820688010421857488noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1667173462753211299.post-33175866651328692482011-01-31T10:15:22.786+00:002011-01-31T10:15:22.786+00:00Hello Steve Hep! Just a few quick musings from me ...Hello Steve Hep! Just a few quick musings from me on your great 'girl power' article here.

All research into all religions around the world show that women are more keen on religion than men. Atheists are around 75% male, so you have identified something here that's worth talking about - the spirituality of women.

I liked the way you drew our attention to common themes and behaviours of spiritual women -what we do, not just what we say.

I've noticed too like you Steve, that when we get genuine spritual giants, they tend to act in ways that stand outside of their society and community, in every age. The Holy Spirit seems to fill them with the ability to do things that are strange and challenging, but just in the right way. It worksfor them, rather than backfiring like it does for us ordinary women.

Rocking the boat is good, but we all need the wisdom to know how to rock it in the right way, so that we are not rocking it out of a personal anger or because we have an axe to grind. I suppose I'm clumsily trying to say that it's good to rock the boat if it draws us towards a better life and brings us to virtue.heather mcdougallhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01906310933013351050noreply@blogger.com
