The lady who introduced me to her liked to say, "Who doesn't want to talk things over with their Mother." That took very strongly with me.

And yes, we all (have to) generalise, I just wanted to throw that in because some don't realize that some of our non Roman Catholic/Protestant/Evangelical traditions are exactly the same. More supplement than criticism.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11814717342852096237noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1667173462753211299.post-47918152521093112162015-01-18T18:06:07.918+00:002015-01-18T18:06:07.918+00:00Thank you Dave. I know that some Protestants are bitterly hostile to the cult of our Lady and some are very devoted to her. The tragedy I think is that so many are indifferent. To think about the story of Jesus without also thinking about the most important earthly relationship which He had is to fail to enter as fully into His life, His mind and heart, as Christians should.Catholic Scothttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01820688010421857488noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1667173462753211299.post-82472594330880093462015-01-18T17:55:31.197+00:002015-01-18T17:55:31.197+00:00Excellent article, although I would note that you ...Excellent article, although I would note that you sell some of us Protestants a bit short. There are a fair of (mostly) Anglicans and Lutherans who still see Our Lady as you do, which of course you already know. For me a a Lutheran it became second nature when an Anglican friend pilgrimaged to Walsingham and I realized that Dr. Luther himself venerated Mary all his life. But it was after wasting many years without the comfort she provides.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11814717342852096237noreply@blogger.com
